'Two Days Workshop' as an ORIENTATION CLASS by Nursing Department
On the behalf of Nursing Department of SLMCH conducted ‘Two Days Workshop‘ (27.01.2022 and 28.01.2022) as an ‘ORIENTATION CLASS’ for nurses on the topic of ‘Basic Life Support‘. This orientation class was held on today from 11:00 am to 12:30 am at Histology lab of SLMCH. There were 20 nurses participated in this class. A staff nurse welcomed Nursing Superintendent Mrs.Meenakshi, Assistant Nursing Superintendent Lakshmi and all the participants. Assistant Professor Dr Ravi from was the speaker of this orientation class. He motivated everyone to actively attend the session he taught basic life supportive skills in an acronym of CAB. Which means circulation, airway and breathing. He clearly explained what is the survival of chain, how to approach a patient safely, how to check patient’s response, when to do CPR. At the end of the orientation class doctor Ravi insisted one of the staff to demonstrate how to assess a collapsed victim how to perform chest compression and how to place a recovery position.
